I was going to plant my vegetables (tomatoe, cucumber, zucchini etc:) in an area that's partly shaded during the day and is where we had removed a pine tree from, and two others are still there. Would this be an ok place to plant in?

Warm season veggies such as tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini need all day sunshine in order to grow well. If the site gets sunshine all afternoon (at least six hours) they will grow well. If there are less than 6 hours of direct sunshine, try to find another garden spot, or grow leafy veggies instead of flowering and fruiting veggies. Best wishes with your garden.
