Eastern Redbud tree - Knowledgebase Question

I planted an eastern redbud 3 years ago, and at that time it was just losing its blossoms. It seems to be growing well, but has not blossomed since I planted it. Is there a supplement or something else I can do to get it to blossom next year?

I'm not sure what might be keeping your eastern redbud from flowering. If it was flowering when you purchased it, it is certainly mature enough to flower. Full sunshine will help encourage flowers as will regular watering during the summer months. Since it's growing well, fertilizer isn't necessary. You might try pruning the branches back a bit. This will encourage new growth, which should flower next spring. Hope this helps!
