|You purchased bareroot clematis and you should have found a stem with roots attached. If there were no roots, and you simply planted the stems, they won't grow. It's possible the roots became separated from the stems during packaging or handling. You can dig one up to see if you see any green shoots developing on the parts that you planted. If not, you may want to return them for a replacement package of healthy bareroot clematis.|
