I have a couple hostas plants. It appears as though some type of bug is eating away the leaves and they look horrible. How can I put a stop to this? I have no clue what type of bug is doing this or if that is even the cause. Please help!

Thank you!

Hostas are magnets to slugs and snails and they feed at night so they are hard to detect. You can sometimes see a silvery slime trail on the ground or on the leaves of the plants. I use a product called Sluggo. It's an iron based bait that does an excellent job of controlling these pests. Apply to the ground around your plants and you'll reduce the population of snails and slugs. Best wishes with your hostas.
