Indoor, or houseplants, are usually tropical in nature and will tolerate temperatures down to about 50 degrees which is why they are grown indoors. You can grow many different climbing or trailing houseplants outdoors if you shield them from direct sunshine and take them indoors during the winter months. Arrowhead vine, hoya and pothos are common houseplants. Creeping fig, mandevilla and bougainvilleas are also climbers. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
