yes, my question is how deep and wide do i have to make the hole for a tree that is in a five gallon? should i dig 2ft wide 2ft deep? and on bushes that are 5 gallon as well what should the hole size be? thank you.

The key to successful planting of trees and shrubs is to make the planting hole as deep and just slightly wider than the nursery container. This way, when you set the plant in the hole, it will be at the same soil level as it was growing in the container. This is important - too deep and the bark that is buried will rot; not deep enough and the roots will dry out. Best wishes with your trees and shrubs.
