| As long as the exposure to sun/shade on your patio is similar to where the ferns are now growing, they should be just fine. Fill the basket with moistened potting soil and transplant the ferns. Keep them watered every few days during their first few weeks in their new homes. Once they have established you can reduce your watering, keeping the soil damp but not overly moist.
