|We had very spinally broccoli with apfids last year. We live in Gresham, OR. What can we do for this year?
|Broccoli grows best in the cooler months of the year and is usually planted in March for harvest before the summer weather arrives. If you are just now planting your broccoli, the warm weather will keep it from growing well and/or developing stalks. The best part about growing during the cooler months is that aphids are not usually active. However, if they bother your broccoli you can hose them off with a strong stream of water or you can spray with Insecticidal Soap to kill the aphids. Best wishes with your garden!|
