I stored cannas in the basement over winter.
some are now sprouting outside. However, a few are NOT.
What would cause a canna not to sprout?
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO MAKE IT SPROUT?
THANKS, DORIAN

I'd go ahead and plant them all. Those that have not yet sprouted may be waiting for some water or for some warmer weather. If they dried out over the winter months or if they got too cold, they may not have made it through the winter. More likely, though, they just haven't gotten the signal that it's time to grow. Go ahead and plant them - they might surprise you and sprout right away. Hope so!
