This spring I planted two apple trees. One is a Granny Smith and the other is a Double Red Delicious. The Granny Smith says that it is self fruitful. However, the Red Delicious says nothing. Will both of these apple trees cross pollinate and produce fruit????

Although Granny Smith is listed as self-fruitful, all apple trees will bear heavier crops if they are cross pollinated. Red Delicious apple is an early bloomer and can serve to cross pollinate your early blooming Granny Smith. Both should bear heavy crops of fruit. Enjoy your harvest!
