|Last year was the first year for our four butterfly bushes. This year they were all leafed out and looking great and suddenly one by one started dying. We have a new home on two acres. Are critters killing them?

|There may be some problems with the roots or your plants may simply need to be watered more frequently. Why not dig down near the roots of one of the plants and see what's going on with the root system? You'll be able to tell if the soil is too dry or too wet, and whether or not the roots have been damaged by moles or gophers. Hope your butterfly bushes recover!
