I've got a flower garden with everything from seedlings to full grown plants, that's thriving right now. But I didn't mulch before planting. It gets really hot here. So, how do I keep my plants from drying out?

You can apply a mulch material now by spreading it between the plants to help conserve moisture and keep weed seeds from sprouting. It may take some time to work the mulch between the plants now that they are up and growing, but it effort will be worth it later this summer. Best wishes with your garden!
