Could you suggest some (preferably hot) chilli varieties suitable for growing in the british climate?, I do have access to a greenhouse if this would facilitate better ripening. |
Hot peppers in general love a warm climate. You should be able to grow them in a greenhouse in your area, however. Most will be a perennial bush if kept from the cold temperatures of winter. There are many types of hot peppers to choose from. Here are some of the truly HOT ones (in general order from hottest to mildest): Habanero, Thai, Pequin, Tabasco, Cayenne, De Arbol, Rocoto, Seranno, and of course Jalapeno. Here is a web site with more information that should interest you on growing peppers in cool climates: http://neptune.netimages.com/~... Good luck with your peppers and thanks for the question! |
