thank you for my answering my previous question regarding my basil having some kind of fungal growth. Yes, I believe I watered then my husband watered and then it rained twice. now, I was wondering how to treat the actual basil. can I just wash it off with water or a organic solution or do I just trim off the leaves with the fungus? thanks for your help!

Try rinsing the fungus off first. If you can't rinse it off, pinch off the affected leaves to stop the spread of the fungus and then use the topmost, healthiest leaves for consumption. Although the leaves with the fungus probably won't hurt you, it's best not to take any chances! Just pinch them off the plant and harvest the healthiest looking leaves.
