I bought some marigolds the other day and a few of them have died off as if they were eaten maybe by a slug. Can I put something on them to prevent the others from being eaten. Thank you

Slugs and snails can be controlled with a product called Sluggo. There are other slug and snail baits on the market but I like Sluggo. It's iron based and any product that is not consumed by slugs or snails will break down into simple iron and absorbed by the soil. Apply according to label directions for best results.
