Thanks for your reply on overtrimming our Jasmine Shrubs this Spring. We fertalized some of them after we trimmed them. Was this proper? We want to fertalize the rest, but hesitate. Should we? When is the best time to fertalize this plant, and is it O.K. to do it after they are trimmed. Also how much watering should they have? ymotekew@earthlink.net

Spring is a good time to feed landscape trees and shrubs. You can feed the remaining shrubs now. Just be careful not to over apply the fertilizer. The label should provide information on how much to apply, which can vary depending upon the size of the plant. Most garden fertilizers are time release so your shrubs will get the benefit of nutrients throughout the growing season. You'll want to give your plants about an inch of water per week. You can water them deeply once or twice per week, depending upon weather. If you get that much rainfall, you won't need to water. If there's no rain, you can water your plants each week. Best wishes with your landscape!
