|I bought a tropical hibiscus from home depot three years ago. in winter i take it inside. It quits blooming then but reblooms when i put it outside in spring. this year a few of the branches have not resprouted leaves. Should i prune them off to promote new growth? Thank you.

|I'd prune the bare branches back a bit. There are latent buds along them that should respond to the pruning by sending up new leaves and stems. Just reduce the size of the bare branches and you should see new growth. If you do not, you can safely prune them completely off the plant. Best wishes with your hibiscus!
