|It's time to mow your lawn! The standard recommendation is to mow no more than one third of the length of grass blades so mow your lawn down to 3", wait about 5 days and mow it again. It should be maintained at about 2 1/2 to 3". After you've mowed your lawn 2-3 times you can apply a weed killer. By then it will have a fairly well established root system and will be able to tolerate weed control products. Best wishes with your lawn!
