As dry as it's been in the Denver area recently do you consider it a wise idea to water the lawn or shrubs?

Shrubs, trees, and even lawns need about one-inch of water per week to keep them healthy. If your weather has been dry, it's a good idea to apply water. To give you an idea of what Mother Nature supplies, and how much to supplement natural rainfall, put an inexpensive rain gauge in your garden. You can check it every week and water if there hasn't been adequate rainfall in the spring, summer and autumn months.
