I live in Seattle. My front yard is in 90% shade. The plant there died from cold winter, leaving an empty spot. What plant I should plant there? |
Camelias grow well in Seattle, as do rhododendrons and azaleas. While most will grow in bright shade, a little sunshine is always appreciated. If you have less than 2-3 hours of direct sunshine, use native plants such as salal or huckleberry. These are evergreen and tolerate quite a bit of shade. Best wishes with your landscape. |
