I planted 12 golden vicary privets late last summer. I been using both spike fertilizers and compost tea.
The plants look healthy
but they are very slow in coming. Very few leaves on top and just a small amount at the base. Please help!

Golden Vicary Privet (Ligustrum x vicaryi) has a moderate growth rate so I think your shrubs will begin to grow a little faster now that they are well established in your landscape. You can encourage lots of new growth by shearing them back by a few inches. This will help them remain full and dense. Pruning always prompts new growth so just trim them back now. Enjoy your landscape!
