When My snowball bush blooms, new growth happens at the same time covering the blooms. What can be done to prevent this from happening?

I'm afraid there's not much you can do to prevent this. Usually the plants bloom for a few weeks before the leaves emerge but leaf growth is prompted by the weather. There's not much you can do to change the weather but I think you'll find that some years the blossoms will be more visible for longer periods of time than others. Enjoy your garden!
