|My moms Cherry Tomatoes were picked when they were not red. What can we do to get them to turn red? We placed them on the outside patio for a few weeks with no results. Thanks!!

|Tomatoes that are too green won't ripen at all, but tomatoes on the verge of turning red will ripen when set in a warm spot out of direct sunshine. I think yours were picked too soon and they are not capable of ripening. When you pick green tomatoes, they should have dark green shoulders (as opposed to being light green all over). The darker shoulders indicate they are mature enough to ripen off the vine. Enjoy your tomatoes!
