|You'll get bigger fruit from your tree if you thin the fruit out now. Most fruit trees go through a natural thinning process in June where excess fruit is dropped but you can further thin out the fruits (remove about one third of them). The remaining fruits will grow larger because there will be less competition for moisture and nutrients. Try thinning the fruits out now. You can feed your tree with a 5-10-10 fertilizer or one labeled specifically for fruit trees. Apply in amounts as recommended on the product label. Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
