Tomato plants are sensitive to juglone so planting them in containers is probably the best solution. Juglone is found in the leaves and roots of walnut trees so if you plant your tomatoes in the ground you'll need to plant several feet beyond the canopy of the walnut tree. Good luck with your tomatoes!
