My husband uses grass clippings in our vegetable garden to control weeds. Is this harmful to the plants?

If you use only fertilizer on your lawn, the clippings will be fine to use in your veggie garden. If you use weed and feed type products, the herbicides within the clippings can cause problems with your garden. You can still use the clippings but you'll want to use them around ornamental shrubs or trees rather than around edible crops. Hope this answers your question.
