Bushes or flowers between bushes? - Knowledgebase Question

We have two pretty ugly bushes that are spaced about 2 feet apart. We aren't able to remove the bushes, I was wondering what would be a good bush or plant to fill in the space in between. I am looking for something colorful.

If the existing bushes are ugly, you can try pruning them back to encourage healthy new growth. This might make them look more attractive. You didn't say whether the site is sunny or shady, so I'm not sure what to suggest to you. Azaleas and rhodies grow well in shady spots, abelia and butterfly bushes grow well in sunny spots. Hope you find just the right shrubs!
