How do I protect my Hibiscus? - Knowledgebase Question

I bought a couple Hibiscus plants and the leaves look like they have a fungus and/or are being eaten. A bunch of these leaves have discoloration, rot and fall off. One of our plants has one flower, but not exploding like the ones at the Home Depot near us.

How do I keep this plant alive?

I can't diagnose the problems without more dtails so I wonder if the best approach is to simply prune your hibiscus back - far enough to remove all the diseased and/or damaged leaves, branches and stems. Hibiscus take to pruning well so reducing the size of your plant will allow it to develop healthy new stems, leaves and flowers. Best wishes with your hibiscus.
