My entire yard is nothing but shale and rocks. My shrubs are doing very well, but I don't seem to have luck with trees. What type of tree would you recomend for this type of

Some of the best trees for your region adaptable to your soil conditions include; Sugar Maple, Red Oak, White flowering Dogwood, European White Birch, Scotch Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, Eastern White Pine, Norway Spruce, Douglas Fir and Hemlock. Hope these suggestions are helpful.
