I have had a hydrangea for several years in a pot, stored overwinter in an encloseed unheated garage. I want to plant it in the ground and don't know the best spot.

Hydrangeas grow and flower best when they get about 4 hours of sunshine a day. However, they tend to wilt in afternoon sunshine. So, I'd recommend planting it where it gets morning sun and afternoon shade. Best wishes with your hydrangea.
