Ever had any questions on plant cloning? My daughter is doing her 8th grade science project on cloning &
found a web page on this cloning solution and gel to use on plant cuttings to start the the roots developing. Problem is we haven't been able to contact the person from which this solution is available. If you have any
suggestions or comments, it would be helpful.

Sounds like tissue culture solution - something that's used to start a new plant from a portion of a parent plant. The material (which contains sucrose, auxins and cytokinins) is available from Gibco Laboratories, Grand Island, New York 14072. A cloned plant is a duplicate of the parent plant. Cells can be taken from leaves or stems to start new plants. The growing medium contains energy for growth plus minute amounts of plant growth hormones. It's a fun and interesting project. Good luck!
