When is the best time to put insect killer down. Can I put down seed in some bare spots when I apply insect killer. When do I apply grub killer. I just fertilized & applied lime in early June.

I'd seed the bare areas first, mow the lawn 2-3 times, then use an insecticide product. The waiting period between seeding the bare spots and then applying the insecticide will allow the new grass to firmly establish a healthy root system so it won't be adversely affected by the insecticide. Bayer Advanced Season Long Grub Control or Grubex are both time release products and can be applied anytime from mid t late June, until the last part of August. Best wishes with your lawn.
