|If the plants were growing in an area protected from hot sunshine and you planted them in full sun, the leaves can burn, but the roots of the plants should be okay. It's normal for newly transplanted plants to go through an adjustment period until the roots establish themselves. Try giving them a little shade from hot afternoon sun until they recover. Just setting a cardboard box on the sunny side of the plant or driving a couple of stakes into the ground and draping sunblock fabric or something similar to keep harsh sunshine from beating down on the plants should do the trick. Shade them from afternoon sun for a week or ten days and they should perk up. Best wishes with your plants.
