I have 2 day lily plants that are healthy and beautiful. Can I divide the 2 plants into 4 without hurting them? If so, can I do it now or is it too late in the season? Thanks so much.

You can dig an divide your clumps of daylilies. Usually fall or spring are better times to divide them but you can do it now. They won't bloom for 3-4 weeks after the division, though, so if flowering all summer long is important to you, wait until this fall to divide the plants. Each division should have both roots and green stems attached. Enjoy your garden!
