Mulching can do lots of things for your garden. It can help suppress weeds, slow water evaporation, moderate soil temperatures and provide nutrients to your veggies. Use a 2-3 inch layer of organic matter such as compost or screened, aged manure around your veggies. At the end of the season dig it into the soil. You'll end up with rich garden loam if you repeat this process every year. Hope you have a great harvest!
