We purchased a house where they planted a large blade grass and next to the neighbor's homes, it looks terrible. Is there anything that can be done to improve the appearance. I wish we seeded ourselves, but I am just wondering if we can apply anthing to grow additional smaller bladed grass. Thank you

If the grass in question is on your property you can dig it out, one strip at a time and overseed the area. If it's on neighboring property or in a common area you may not be able to do anything at all to it without permission from your HOA or county or whoever owns the property. If you don't or can't remove the large bladed grass, I'll bet you can overseed the area with another type of grass. It probably won't overtake the existing grass but it might soften the look a bit. Most grass types will grow happily together so just broadcast seeds over the current turf and water them in well so they make good contact with the soil. Keep the area moist until the seeds germinate. Hope this solves the problem!
