We have a stink bug problem in our tomatoes. First how do we take care of the problem now. And second what do we do next year to try and prevent this problem from happening again. |
I'd recommend using an organic pesticide like Bayer insecticidal soap or Neem oil. Both are rated for organic growth and, with weekly applications, will help control the problem. Also, handpick any critters you see. If you can, get in the habit of checking your plants every morning or every other morning when you water. Be sure to plant your tomatoes in different parts of the garden each year - it confuses the stink bugs and it will keep your tomatoes safe from any overwintering stink bugs or the eggs they leave behind in the soil. |
