Because mint is edible, Sevin is not the product of choice for insect control. I'd use something organic that is specific to the insect bothering the mint. Have the pests identified (take samples to your local cooperative extension office or well staffed nursery) then choose the least toxic, most efficient control registered for that particular pest). Rotenone or Bioneem are organic pest control products and will control most insect pests, but be careful to apply according to label directions.
