I have a contorted hazelnut tree and just purchased 2 corkscrew hazelnut trees. My question is what is the besst type of soil (acid or sweet) and what type of fertilizer is best for these trees. Also, will they produce edible fruit?

Your trees will grow in average soil so you won't need to amend your soil with anything to change the pH. You can feed in the spring with a general purpose 10-10-10. They can, and probably will, produce edible nuts. enjoy!
