|Torpedo grass is difficult to control because it spreads by underground rhizomes. Digging it up is most effective but you need to get all of the roots out - any roots left in the ground will resprout. The only alternative is to spot treat with Round Up. Round Up will travel down to the roots and kill them but it will also kill anything else it touches so it will damage the grass growing near the weed. You may have to make repeat applications of Round Up to completely kill out the Torpedo grass. Best wishes with your project!
