bare patches in lawn - Knowledgebase Question

I have few areas in my lawn which i have seeded since fall but grass does not grow at all in those areas. i did reseeding in spring and still there is no growth at all on those patches what should i do?

If the new grass seed does not sprout, there's a problem with the soil. I'd dig out the bare areas, mix in some compost to help balance the pH and loosen any compaction, then reseed. If the bare areas are a result of dog urine, the salts in the urine may have rendered it sterile. Digging and replacing the top few inches of soil in those spots will help.
