deer have been eating my plants in my perennial bed. How do I put a stop to this?

Fencing is the only absolute way of keeping deer from browsing in your garden. You might try a deterrent such as Deer Away, Liquid Fence or Ropel. These nasty tasting mixtures will usually keep them from taking more than a bite or two. Good luck with your garden!
