Disolving Slate in Garden Bed - Knowledgebase Question

I have old large round steps in a bed, I removed most of the large pieces, with the slate disolving affect my soil?? Thanks, Lois

I don't think the slate will cause problems in your garden soil. You'll want to loosen the soil as much as possible before planting so the plant roots will be able to easily penetrate the soil. I'd also work in some compost just to help loosen the soil. Best wishes with your new garden bed!
