|i was told to remove spent blooms...exactly how do i do that...cut the whole stem? or pull off the things the color was on 1 at a time? i dont want to harm the plant so i want to do it right! Thanks!

|Salvia is deadheaded by snipping off the entire flowering stem when all the flowers are spent. Cut it down to foliage level and new flowering stems will appear. You won't harm the plant if you cut back the dead flowers.
