i've seen that old rawhide dog toys, and human hair can be placed in the compost tumbler. Is this correct? Also, are these considered GREEN or BROWN items? Thanks so much! Couldn't do it w/o YOU!!!

Both are considered brown or carbon materials. They can be included in your compost but the dog toys may take some time to decompose. The smaller the pieces, the faster they will decompose, though, so try chopping them into little pieces. The hair will eventually decompose but it might take years so don't be surprised if your finished compost has hairs jutting out in all directions! Best wishes with your compost!
