Hi. I have these little black bugs on my potted veggies, but mainly in the soil. They look like fruit flies, but are all black. They don't look like aphids (saw pictures on Google). They are starting to eat the leaves on my cucumber plant. I would love to find a solution that is organic. Thank you!

I can't tell from your description if they are fungus gnats (they fly) or mites. Neither chew holes in leaves, though, so they may just be a secondary problem. You can control them with insecticidal soap sprays. Be sure to apply according to label directions. In the case of the soil dwelling gnats, you can drench the soil with the product to kill the gnats and their eggs. Best wishes with your veggies!
