|How long it takes tomatoes to ripen really depends upon the tomato type and the weather. They ripen faster in hot weather; more slowly when weather is cool. If the shoulders of the tomato are a darker green than the rest of the fruit, they are just about to change color and ripen. You can try harvesting one tomato and taking it indoors to ripen on the kitchen counter if you're really anxious to eat one of your tomatoes. I think your tomatoes will ripen within the next couple of weeks. Just be patient. It will be worth the wait!
