The heat from an asphalt company's equipment singed almost half the leaves on my Sunset Maple. They are now all wilted and brown. The tree is about 10 years old. Do you think the tree will survive and the leave return next year?

I know it's distressing to see your tree like that but if only the leaves are damaged and the branches and stems are okay, your tree will leaf out normally next spring. Since it's still early in the growing season, it may even drop those damaged leaves and replace them right away. Just water as usual and your tree should be okay. Best wishes with your landscape!
