my Desert Rose has white fuzzy-looking stuff growing where the new leaves are coming out. What is it and what can I do about it?

If the fuzzy stuff is just on the leaf surface and you can wipe it off, it's probably a fungal disease called powdery mildew. If you're seeing white tufts rather than a white coating, it's probably mealybugs or cottony scale insects. Once you determine what the problem actually is you can treat it with a fungicide or an insecticide. Be sure to follow label directions. Good luck with your desert rose.
