just finished the last of my potted planting. should i clip off the zinnia flowers when they die?? also potted ivy geraniums, and the tag says to place in sun to partial shade! should i look for the morning or afternoon sun and for how long? should i clip off the flowers that die off and if yes at what point. thank you

Yes to your deadheading questions. Clip off the spent zinnias, along with the stem that is attached to the flower; likewise with your geraniums. Geraniums will grow in full sun to part shade. They flower best in full sun. If you need to plant them in part shade, give them morning shade and afternoon sunshine. Hope this clarifies things for you!
